Once again, it's changing

I have decided to change my blog once again to talk about my budgeting and how I want to see how long it will take myself (a shopping addicted mall shopper) to save up $1,000. I want to be completely honest with this for myself and everyone else. I have a hard time keeping secrets that I have made for myself anyways.

Here's a quick run down on my financial status:

I get paid from my (shitty paying) retail job every friday,
I almost never get paid more than $200,
and sometimes I sell things on eBay for some extra cash.

This past week I got a total of $295 for christmas, I bought a sweatshirt at Neiman Marcus for $87,
a sweater from my job for $43, a t-shirt from Lululemon that WAS on sale for $30, dinner with a friend for $16, dinner with another friend for $15, 3 different cab rides totaling $26, and riding the bus three different times totaling $10...

I am more than ashamed... that totals roughly $227.

I went a little too crazy and now I can't pay my $80 cell phone bill.

This has to change! Just writing this all down for the world to see is making me cringe. I vow to blog what I spend every day for at least six months. I am not starting this as a new years resolution or anything because I feel like those are somewhat silly and meant to just fail. I was reading THIS post from Refinery 29 and it really hit me in the right spots on some tips on what to do. I'm going to try to do the $20 - $40 a week in the envelope thing because it's easier for me to save money when I have it physically in front of myself.

Things that keep me motivated is the fact that I need to move out of my shitty shared apartment with my dad and the fact that I don't have a car to get myself where I need to be. I'll be 23 in about eight months, I can't be a slacker any longer!

Wish me luck and positive thoughts!

Long time no see!

This is over a year later than when I initially made this blog, but when recent life events and changes I have decided to get back at it. It's almost a fresh start other than the posts. I decided to keep the posts because I did work hard on them at one point so I don't want it to be a complete waste of time for myself. I've changed the name and the aspect of the blog other than that.

Still a fashion blog with some personal things thrown in.

Anyways!

My first new post will be based on bomber jackets!

Here are some of my favorites for this fall '14 season:

Denim is one of my most favorite materials so I HAD to include this adorable one. I tried it on in store and it's the perfect little throw on jacket.

                                           rag & bone/JEAN Leather Bomber Jacket $924
And of course I had to add a classic leather bomber by one of my favorite designers.

And if you want to splurge a bit on a somewhat different-but-not-too-different style, don't go too crazy with this oxblood-wine red bomber. It's for sure a statement maker.

And of course going with my true belief in "the original is always an option" you can go with an original WW2 aviator bomber jacket if you're willing to invest. I found some amazing ones up for auction on ebay and added three links to my favorites.

Ok, this is the one I chose to splurge on. It's incredible. When it went on sale I headed over to J.crew as soon as possible. I tried it on and it was like magic.. I HAD to have it. It feel like it fits really true to size and is just PERFECT for the winter in Texas. If it gets really chilly I can just add a hat and scarf. I'm very happy.

Bombers are classic and won't ever go out of style. It's worth it to splurge and get a classic piece that you can pull out every year and still look and feel fabulous in.
